This Wisconsin Supreme Court race will have lasting consequences for our state.
Electing Maria Lazar* is critical to maintaining balance on the court. Without her, the court shifts to a 5–2 liberal majority—impacting not only decisions, but which cases are even heard, since at least three justices must agree to take up a case.
The next justice will help decide major issues, including challenges to congressional maps drawn under Tony Evers and a case brought by Planned Parenthood seeking to establish a constitutional right to abortion in Wisconsin.
Her opponent, Chris Taylor, previously served as a policy advisor for Planned Parenthood and, during her time in the legislature, took positions that many voters disagreed with—including voting against Marsy’s Law, which was approved by 75% of Wisconsin voters.
This race matters—and turnout will decide it.
