The contribution records compiled here list his donations to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, and Democratic Party organizations.
The support flows both ways. A transaction dated October 21, 2026, lists a $297,303 in-kind contribution from the State Senate Democratic Committee to Friends of Christian Ellis—identified in the accompanying research as television support.
Nearly $300,000 in Democratic committee support is a substantial investment in someone running as an “independent.”
Meanwhile, the policy comparison lists questions awaiting Ellis’s response alongside the positions and voting records of people and organizations he has supported financially. Their positions do not establish his, but voters deserve answers about where he stands.
An independent label doesn’t erase a history of partisan financial support.
