Republican Poll Workers and Special Voting Deputies
Overview
Wisconsin election laws allow the two majority parties (Republican and Democrat) to nominate qualified members to serve as poll workers and Special Voting Deputies (SVDs) in county municipalities for a two-year term. Poll workers are paid by the municipality in which they work. You may apply with municipal clerks starting immediately.
Key Deadline
The names of partisan nominees for poll worker and SVD positions must be submitted by the Chairman of RPSC (Republican Party of Sheboygan County) to municipal leaders and municipal clerks by November 30, 2025.
2026-2027 Election Schedule
- Two spring elections
- The 2026 fall election
- The primaries preceding each election
Returning Poll Workers
If you served as a Republican poll worker in the last two-year cycle, contact your municipal clerk to confirm whether you need to reapply. Then respond to RPSC so we can resubmit your name as a Republican poll worker or SVD.
