Volunteers Hit the Streets After a
Busy Morning at RPSC Headquarters
There was plenty of energy at RPSC headquarters Saturday morning — and it didn’t stay inside for long.
Candidates, volunteers and supporters gathered at RPSC headquarters on August 29 for Save Wisconsin Saturday, part of a statewide effort supporting Tom Tiffany and Republican candidates up and down the ballot.
Candidates and campaign representatives from races across the area joined us throughout the morning, sharing a few words with volunteers before the day’s work got underway. Pictured here are John Belanger, Amy Binsfeld, and Bradley Petersen.
Then it was time to get to work.
Volunteers picked up campaign literature, received their assignments and prepared to head into Sheboygan neighborhoods to talk with voters.
And then they hit the streets.
Armed with campaign literature — and, in a few cases, an umbrella — volunteers headed into Sheboygan neighborhoods to knock doors and connect with voters.
One of the best sights of the morning was the number of young volunteers who showed up ready to help. They weren’t there just to watch. They gathered materials, learned the ropes, hit the sidewalks and knocked doors — bringing plenty of energy and enthusiasm with them.
Days like this are a good reminder that grassroots campaigns really are built from the ground up. They depend on people willing to give a few hours, have a conversation with a neighbor, write a postcard, knock a door or simply ask, “What can I do?”
